DVD stopped working in Windows 7?

My DVD drive stopped working.  I use a piece of software called AnyDVD by Slysoft which allows me to put my DVD’s onto the hardrive of my media center.  I was blaming this software and tried everything on their website and nothing worked.  I then tried uninstalling it and the DVD drive was still not working.  I looked in device drivers and it had an exclamation mark next to it.  After lots of messing around trying the usual routines I did a search on google and found this.

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/314060/#win7fix It worked.

In Regedit go to the key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

And delete the LowerFilters and UpperFilters entries if they exist, reboot your computer.  After I did this my DVD drive came back and was fully operational.
